No matter how we describe it, he did it. He competed, even with a crummy head cold and hot, muggy conditions, which caused the eyewear he had on to slide down his face. Back to goggles next time.
After getting knocked off the bike by a giant tree branch, he decided to call it a day. We are proud of him for knowing when to quit.
He is still in one piece, and plans to ride again. All in all, a successful outing!
